Mirage Art
Mirage Art is my wood carving work. Each piece starts from a feeling that needed a physical form. Grief. Distance. Resistance. Memory. The studio is where those feelings get translated, slowly, by hand, in the resistance of the wood.
I've been at it for eight years. It started in a single afternoon: a workshop, a carving knife, a small wooden bird. I haven't really stopped since. The studio is a corner of my apartment in Solna, a workbench and too many chisels.
The pieces are about things I couldn't say any other way. Intimacy. Memory. The specific weight of being Iranian and far from home. I am not illustrating these feelings. I am working through them, by hand.
I also document it on YouTube. Not tutorials, not process optimisation. Just the making, as it actually happens, slowly and without shortcuts. The carving videos have accumulated over 110,000 views organically.
